Project Director Paul Farrington visited the Screen Archive South East records office in Chichester to meet archivist Ina Van Dooren and deposit 23 reels of 16MM film recorded in 1940 and 1950s that were collected from Brighton Swimming Club member Roger Dunford shortly before he passed in 2010. These rare and unique films depict Brighton Swimming Club shortly after the beach was reopened after World War 2 had ended.
They will be made available on this website later this year, but for now they are safe in a 14 degree cold storage room waiting to be digitized.
