From the archives: a document on 100 years of the swimsuit.

Members of Brighton Swimming Club have been invited by the Curator of Costume and Textiles at Brighton Museum to view two swimming costumes dating 1921 that belonged to the donor’s father who played water polo for Brighton Swimming Club in the 1920’s when they were frequent winners of the championship. A postcard featuring her father in the Brighton Swimming Club team in 1925 was also donated, but at present this is unlocated.
